Start with a design you like.
Pick a template, then add your logo and signature in the browser. Choose a clean sans or serif typeface (Lato or Times). You don't need design software.
- Free templates on every plan, and premium templates on Studio and up.
- Saved templates: 3 on Spark, 50 on Studio, 200 on Academy and 500 on Institute.
- Designs for certificates, badges, transcripts, training records and letters. These are visual formats, not accreditation.
- Add your own fields, such as course code or CPD hours.
Add one person or a whole class.
Type names one by one, or import a CSV. Each person's name and details are filled into the design for you.
- CSV batches of up to 20 people on Spark, and up to 100 on Studio, Academy and Institute.
- Save contacts in your workspace and reuse them for the next group.
- Each certificate counts once toward your monthly allowance.
Send every certificate by email.
On Studio and up, Certinator emails each person their PDF. Email history shows the status of each message, so you can resend when needed. On Spark, you download the files and share them yourself.
- Studio: 500 emails a month (up to 100 per UTC day), sent under your sender name.
- Academy: 3,000 a month (up to 300 per UTC day), with your reply-to address and no Certinator email footer.
- Institute: 10,000 a month (up to 1,000 per UTC day).
Checked in seconds, by link or QR.
On Studio and up, every certificate gets its own verify page and QR code. Anyone can open the link or scan the code to see who earned it, what it was for and when it was issued.
- Set an expiry date, or revoke a record when you need to.
- On Academy and Institute, choose which fields are public.
- Verification records kept: 10,000 on Studio, 50,000 on Academy and 100,000 on Institute.
- Spark files are plain PDF or PNG, with no verify link, QR code or public record.

On Academy and Institute, the Certinator API and MCP let you create certificates from your app, your scripts or an AI assistant.
- 1,000 API credits a month on Academy, and 5,000 on Institute. 1 credit makes 1 certificate.
- Direct requests make up to 10 certificates, and background jobs make up to 100.
- Studio and Spark use the web editor and CSV batches.
Know your limits up front.
Allowances reset on the 1st of each month (UTC). Unused allowance doesn't roll over. When you reach a limit, generation pauses until the reset or until you upgrade. There are no overage charges.

Do I need design software?
No. You edit everything in the browser.
Which typefaces can I use?
Designs use Lato (sans) or Times (serif). Font uploads aren't supported.
